Miles @ 2 Months

Another month has past. Time just keeps marching no matter how much we think things will stay the same.

We took Miles in for his last checkup the day after he turned 2 months.  He weighed 13 lbs. 7 oz and was 24 inches long.  Pretty much, he is doing a good job growing.  Brenda (my midwife) said he looks great, he just need more tummy time to strengthen his neck muscles.

He has gotten a lot happier during this month.  I think his little digestive system is working better.  He did get a cold which gave him a stuffy nose for a few days.  His temper really showed through then because that stuffy noise made him so mad.

He loves to be talked to and will coo and smile to anyone listening.  The older kids love to talk to him which is nice for me. Reagan has grow more attached to him. If she sees someone holding him, she gets very upset because she is worried they are going to take him away. I gave up on trying to get him to take a plug (pacifier). He also spits up a lot, but so did my other boys.

Isaiah thinks he looks like my brother Monte and I have to agree that his takes after myside of the family much more then the other kids.

Happy 7th Birthday Amita!!

I can hardly believe my baby princess isn't really a baby anymore.  She is growing up so fast.  She is starting to turn into a little lady.  She likes to hang out with her big brothers more and more.  She is a super big helper with Reagan and Miles whenever I need an extra hand.

For her birthday, we did a simple party with just our little family here.  I let her pick what kind of cake she wanted and she chose to make rice crispies.  I didn't have any number 7 candle, so I improvised and used a 4+3.  We all sang, enjoyed the "cake" and then watched her open presents.  She got a CTR ring, a paint set, a skylander, a hello kitty shirt, and a princess set.

In the evening, Isaiah took the 4 oldest to the skating rink to have some more birthday fun. I stayed home with the two non-skaters, but it sounded like they had a wonderful time.

Garden Time

Here is is, snowy February and it's already time to start garden work. Seems strange to have the ground covered in inches of snow and be planting our garden. Right now is the time to get our tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, broccoli and others veggies started indoors, so they are ready to transplant in April.

Melody was my little planter. She helped plant all the seeds in our four start trays. It is just like her to help all the way through a project. She loves to work and help with anything.
