Wow! I can't believe Melody is six months already. Time flies way to fast. She is such a cutie pie.
She loves to be held all the time still. When she gets fussy, I take her on a walk outside and that usually makes her happy again. She really enjoys seeing new things and definitely thinks staying in the house all day is boring.
Melody has started to try and be able to sit be herself. If you prop her up with pillows she will sit for a few moments. As soon as she tries to reach to far she falls over. She also tries to sit up when she is laying in her bouncy seat. She has started trying to get up on her hands and knees. Just a few days ago she pushed herself backwards a little ways.
The other kids adore her. Benjamin says she is the cutest of the family. Carter likes to sing her little songs like row, row, row your boat. Anytime Melody is laying on the floor, Amita likes to lay by her and hold her hand.
She got to experience her first 4th of July. She wasn't crazy about the fireworks and all the loud noises. When we took her to the fireworks in town, she cried and cried till I took her to the truck. She was happy to watch them once she didn't have to listen to them.
We have gone to the lake a lot and Melody loves the water. She splashes and kicks like crazy. She also likes to eat the sand if you let her get a fist full. I think she has the Andra love for water.
