Tooth Fairy

Last night, Benjamin showed me that he had a loose tooth. So, I told him about the tooth fairy and putting his tooth under his pillow. Then at dinner time, his tooth came out, and he accidently swallowed it. He was so sad that he wouldn't get to put it under his pillow. Isaiah & I told him that the tooth fairy would probably still put some money under his pillow and sure enough he got a dollar.

2 Months Old

This is Melody's official two month post.

She has really started to show more personality this month. She loves to have her brothers and sister around her talking to her. She also likes to watch people and when she gets really excited about what she sees her eyes get real big.

She has also started cooing. She doesn't talk a lot, but when she does it is so cute. She also likes to smile for her dad.

She has been my best sleeper so far. She only wakes up once during the night to eat. She goes to bed usually by nine and wakes up around seven. She does get a little colicky in the evenings, but the rest of the day is really good. I found out the dairy I was eating really bothered her and once I stop eating it it really helped her be much happier.
One of her favorite things is her bath. No maker how fussy she is in the evening, when I put her in her little bath tub she calms right down. Her other favorite thing is the have Amita push her around in her little toy stroller.

Melody and Amita are best buddies already, at least Amita thinks so. And Melody doesn't seem to mind all the attention Amita showers on her.

Amita

This post is just a little peek at Amita at two years old.

She has taken on the roll of big sister in full force. When I am nursing Melody, she climbs up next to me and holds the baby's hand. If Melody starts crying Amita will run over to her and start giving her hugs. Her absolute favorite thing to do with Melody is push her around in her toy stroller.

Amita communicates very well, just not in english. She is finally starting to say a few words. She has learned cup, but it comes out "pup." She also does nana for banana.

She loves animals. Her favorite show is Diego, and she plays with any toy animal she can find. But if you take her to see a really animal, she panics and starts screaming and crying. She as finally gotten use to our new dog Buster and actually likes him, but any other dog still causes her to freak out.

She helps me do dishes every morning, and she will follow the boys around helping them get their jobs done. She likes to be involved in everything and gets so mad when she is left out. She still loves to be cuddled a lot. At times she such a little princess, but at others she is a total tomboy.

The Ring Bearer

Our dear friend, Jeannie got married this weekend, and Benjamin was the ring bearer. He did such a good job. Benjamin has the hardest time being still that I was worried he would get too restless standing up there. He stood as still as a statue the whole time. Later, I asked him how it felt to stand up there and he said, "It was OK, but I started to get a little nerves."

Amita's Birthday

Friday was Amita's 2nd birthday. We had a fun day to celebrate her special day. Jeannie taught her to say two and show it with her fingers that morning. When ever anyone came she would do it for them. I let her help me make chocolate cupcakes for her party. She decided to decorate them with bright yellow frosting and sprinkles. Here she is with her reward for being such a good chef.
When Isaiah was done working, we had a small party for her. Jeannie, Michael, Rachael, come and also our friends Amie and Chayilah came. When it was time to blow out the candles, she couldn't figure out what to do, so Benjamin & Carter helped her out.

Here is Jeannie tell Amita ya after we finally got the candles blown out.
While everyone ate cake, Isaiah let the kids roast marshmallows over our fire.

This is Chayilah burning her marshmallows.

Last Amita got to open her presents. She got plenty of help from her older brothers who were just as excited to see what was inside them.

The favorite present of the kids was a baby doll that cries until you feed it.

A few weekends ago, Isaiah helped the kids build four birdhouses. They turned out really cute and the kids had lots of fun. Here are two of them finished. These are Amita's and Melody's.
Here is Carter helping during the building. He is making sure it fits just right.

Isaiah helping Amita put primer on hers.

Here is Benjamin paining his and having fun making different colors with the paints.
Now we just have to figure out where to hang them.

Our New Addition

We have been wanting to get a golden retriever for a while, but haven't been able to find one at a reasonable price. Then, this week I found an ad in the paper for a free one and knew we had to get him.

His name is Buster. He is two years old and has been great so far. He hasn't jump on the kids or been overly hyper around them. He is real mellow.

Benjamin loves him. He spent all day sitting by him just talking and laying on him. Carter likes him, and Amita isn't totally scared of him, which is huge for her.

Cousins

This is Melody with her newest cousin, Jessie. They are exactly 5 weeks apart. He is a week old in the picture and about 9lbs. Melody is 6 weeks old and around 10lbs. He is Rosa's fourth baby just like Melody is Isaiah's fourth. They are Isaiah's mom's 12th and 13th grandchildren. It will be fun to see them grow up together.
