Miles @ 1 Month

I can't believe Miles is already one month. Truly the time does fly by. He is growing like a champ. At one week he weighed 9lbs 2oz and at 3 weeks he weighed 10lbs. 4oz. He definitely loves to eat all the time; only going about 1.5 hours between feedings except sometimes last a 4 hours stretch between meals during the night.
Just love when he sleeps with his booty in the air.

He likes to start his day at about 5 (I try to hold him off till closer to 6), then after being awake for roughly 2 hours his back asleep for an hour and then up again for about an hour and half. Then he sleeps till about 3 in the afternoon only waking up to eat. He is awake for an hour and does a quick cat nap and then is up till about 6:30-7 then he goes to bed for the night.
I would love to say he is a happy easy going baby, but he isn't. He is pretty fussy when awake, but when he does decided to calm down and smile and coo at me it just makes my heart melt. The kids have really taken to him. Amita and Melody love to hold him. Ben will stop and talk to him when he is awake. Reagan playes this little pig with his toes while I nursed him. She does get a little jealous at times when I can't help her or play with her the instant that she wants but she is getting better about it.

Blue & Gold Banquet

The boys had their annual Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet this week. The theme was tropical. Everyone got to draw a flower and hang it up to make the room feel tropical, and they served Hawaiian haystacks for dinner. Jeannie, James, Rachael, Michael and Grandma Mary all came to see the boys receive their awards. Carter received his wolf badge.
Benjamin was awarded Cub Scouts highest award, the Arrow of Light. Benjamin has worked so hard all year to earn the award and I am so proud of him. Isaiah and him spent a few days making his arrow that shows all his achievements in Cub Scouts. He earned his bobcat, wolf, bear, religious knot, gold arrow point, silver arrow point, weblos, naturalist, showman, outdoorsman, handyman, citizen, geologist, fitness, readyman, and lots of belt loops.
He also got to cross over into The Boy Scouts and gets to start that adventure.

First Bath

Miles finally got his first bath at 18 days old. It has just been so cold and I have been so tired, it never seemed like a good time. I decided he really did need one when Isaiah started asking how he liked his baths.
He totally loved it. He hates being naked, so he started fussing as soon as I undressed him, but once he was in the water he stopped crying and was very peaceful. The bath must have relaxed him because he went right to sleep afterwards

The 6 Pack

I finally got all six kids rounded up for a group photo.  Yes, it is amazingly hard to get a good picture of six kids and this is the best one I was able to take in the five minutes that Miles gave us between naps and crying.

And of course we had to have one of all the boys together.
