My Caterpillar

A friend of ours gave us a big bag full of costumes. My kids have been having a blast playing with them especially Amita. She found this caterpillar costume and will hardly take it off. When she wakes up, the first thing she does is go and find it so I can put if on her. She wears it all day. I call her my little caterpillar girl, which she things is so funny.

Growing Like a Weed

Brenda, my midwife, came today and weighted Melody. She is 9lb. 14oz. She really is growing like a weed having already gained three pounds since she was born.

Doesn't she have the funniest expression in this picture?

Happy Birthday

Today is my little brother's 19th birthday. I am very proud to have Monte as a brother, and I hope him the best in his future. The picture is from my trip to South Carolina to attend his graduation from basic training in December. The trip was lots of fun. Right now, he is stationed in George going through training. Good Luck with your classes Monte.

Melody's First Month

Today Melody turns one month. She has been such a fun addition to our family. This month has gone by so fast and Melody has changed so much during it. I am always amazed at how fast my little newborns grow up.

The older kids lover her. Benjamin gives her kisses whenever he can. Carter likes her, but she isn't a truck so he doesn't pay to much attention to her. Amita wants to hold her hand all the time, and she likes to be my helper during diaper changes.

Melody's most exciting outing so far has been to the movie theater. We took the whole family to see Madagascar 2 when she was 6 days old. She was really good during the whole trip and sleep through the entire movie.

She has been growing like a little weed. At her two week check up she already weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. I think she is around 10 lbs. right now, but haven't actually weighed her to see.

Melody is a very strong baby. I have laid her down on my bed twice and had her roll from her stomach to her back. She also has very good head control and has been able to left her head up really well from the moment she was born.

She is such a blessing in my life, and I am so thankful for her. Below is my favorite pictures of her.
